Entry to Bishop Tyrrell Place is via a stylish foyer area. Adjoining this area is a café and adjacent courtyard where residents, families, friends and staff are able to purchase tea and coffee. Situated throughout the home are an assortment of stylish sitting rooms, spacious lounge and dining areas and large activity areas. These areas provide places where residents can enjoy the company of family and friends, spend some quality ‘alone-time’ and spiritual reflection and enjoy group activities. All communal areas are tastefully decorated with superior quality furniture and soft furnishings. Other internal features of Bishop Tyrrell Place include: attractive artworks; an internal Chapel with beautiful stained glass windows; a large therapy room; and a hairdressing salon.

External focal points of the home are the two central courtyard areas with beautiful gardens and walking paths, outdoor furnishings and a BBQ area.

Single Room with Ensuite

Key Features

These rooms are 17sqm in size, with a maximum occupancy of 1 person. All rooms include a private ensuite, are of an exceptional standard, and have been fitted out with designer quality fittings, lighting and furnishings. The design of the rooms has enabled each room access to a significant level of natural light and all rooms include a charming bay window. Standard room inclusions include: a large built in wardrobe and shelving, bedside table, individually controlled air conditioning, flat screen television, an armchair and electric adjustable bed. Telephone and internet access can be arranged.

The rooms have a lovely view and outlook of one of the internal courtyard areas.

Maximum Price

  1. Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD) – $310,000 or
  2. Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP) – $48.41 or
  3. A combination of the RAD and DAP

Example of a combination payment for room based on 50% RAD and 50% DAP would be:
$155,000 RAD plus an ongoing DAP of $24.20 per day.

 

Please note: the above prices are subject to change and shall vary in accordance with the Maximum Permissible Interest Rate (MPIR) as determined by the Department of Social Services on a quarterly basis.

The rooms have a lovely view and outlook of the rural areas that surround Bishop Tyrrell Place.

Lifestyle and Wellbeing

The comprehensive Lifestyle and Wellbeing program delivered by the dedicated Lifestyle Team at Bishop Tyrrell Place caters for a range of interests and includes activities such as: craft; music and; bus outings to promote enjoyment and positive ageing.

Another unique external feature of Bishop Tyrrell Place is the inclusion of a ‘Care Farm’. A first for the Manning area, the goal of the care farm is to improve residents’ quality of life by providing an opportunity to engage with nature and animals in a safe and nourishing way. The care farm looks after many animals including chickens, alpacas and miniature horses, has vegetable, flower and herb gardens together with extensive walking paths.
