Maintenance Officer
The Opportunity:
The Maintenance Officer is responsible for undertaking maintenance duties across the Newcastle Anglican property portfolio. Including, but not limited to, repairs, painting, equipment servicing, minor construction and alteration works, and general handyman duties covering both internal and external building maintenance and grounds.
This is a Full Time Permanent vacancy.

Role & Responsibilities:
The work carried out by the Property Maintenance officer will include:
- Carry out works for high pressure cleaning, cleaning gutters, replacing light bulbs, gardening, replacing washer in taps, etc.
- Regular site visits to each property and regular overtime and after-hours work may be required.
- Required to provide advice to the Property Team on future maintenance requirements for each property.
- Management of contractors as required who are performing maintenance on Newcastle Anglican properties.
- Contributing to property specific strategic planning and team operational planning, policy and procedure development, compliance with organisational and regulatory requirements, managing work systems and ensuring effective team functioning
- Undertake all administrative work associated with regulatory compliance and other property work, specifically providing up to date source data for reporting and accounting purposes.

- Current drivers’ licence
- Relevant demonstrated experience in an associated trade / general maintenance works.
- Experience in the operational side of property management.
- Experience working with a diverse range of people, specifically those with a disability.
- Demonstrated competence in programmed, reactive and preventative maintenance.
