Our Villages

Anglican Care’s C A Brown Retirement Living consists of 40 x 2 bedroom duplex style units with garages, walking trails, community room, park areas and landscaped gardens.

The village is located close to train and bus transport for the convenience of residents.

A shopping bus is provided on a weekly basis and residents are able to organise their own activities such as luncheons, bus trips, happy hours and barbeques. Residents also hold regular meetings to discuss relevant topics.

Anglican Care’s Carey Bay Retirement Living consists of 31 x 2 bedroom units all with individual carports or garages and a community room.

The village is situated in a quiet residential area with a lovely bushland outlook.  A small local shopping centre is located across the road, with a larger shopping centre and Toronto Private Hospital just 5 minutes away.

A shopping bus is provided on a weekly basis and residents are able to organise their own activities such as luncheons, bus trips, cards, scrabble and many other social activities. Residents also hold regular meetings to discuss relevant topics.

Anglican Care’s Buchanan Court Retirement Living is situated in the cosmopolitan beachside suburb of Merewether and consists of 8 x 2 and 12 x 1 bedroom units, with the choice of upstairs or downstairs locations.

Positioned in a quiet residential area, the village is a short walk to Merewether beach and the nearby Junction Shopping Village.

The Village includes vital call, spacious balconies, a BBQ area and common room for residents to meet.  Residents organise a number of activities such as luncheons, visits to the theatre and other social activities as well as holding regular meetings to discuss relevant topics.

Plans for the future of Anglican Care’s Buchanan Court are currently being reviewed as a result, intake of permanent residents has been suspended. 

Whilst a decision is pending, if a unit becomes vacant, it is made available on the normal rental market on a short to medium term basis for seniors.

Anglican Care’s Greenmount Gardens Retirement Living at Mt Hutton consists of 34 x 1 and 2 bedroom units as well as a community room.

The Village is well known for its beautifully landscaped gardens and its proximity to Lake Macquarie Fair shopping centre which is located directly across the road from the village.  Additionally, for the convenience of residents, Greenmount Gardens is situated close to transport as well as bowling and social clubs.

A shopping bus is provided on a weekly basis. Residents organise their own activities such as luncheons, bus trips and other social activities and hold regular meetings to discuss relevant topics. Residents are also welcome to attend concerts and other activities that are held at Greenmount Gardens Residential Aged Care Home.

Greenmount Gardens (residential aged care home)

Anglican Care has recently purchased a new retirement living village at Tenambit.  Northwood Retirement Living currently consists of 12 x 1 and 2 bedroom dwellings.  Anglican Care has plans with Maitland City Council to further develop this site in two stages. The first stage will consist of a further 11 x 2 bedroom Retirement Living Units and a community centre. The second stage will be a further 13 x 2 bedroom Retirement Living Units.

The village is ideal for seniors living; situated close to bus services, local retail and community facilities such as a public pool, together with the new hospital. It provides enhanced choices for people seeking retirement living in the Maitland Local Government Area.

Anglican Care’s Retirement Living at Toronto is currently the subject of redevelopment plans as a result, intake of permanent residents has been suspended.  An expression of interest list has been developed for people who are interested in receiving further information regarding plans for retirement living on the Toronto site when it becomes available. Planning for retirement living units will be revisited once construction of the new residential aged care home on the Toronto site is complete (currently due for completion in March 2016).

In the interim, if a unit becomes vacant, it is made available on the normal rental market on a short to medium term basis for seniors.

Anglican Care’s Storm Retirement Living consists of 4 x 1 Bedroom (2 with garages), 14 x 2 bedroom (9 with garages) retirement living units, in a park like setting with lovely gardens, outdoor seating areas and some water views. Residents also have access to a covered BBQ area.

The village is situated in a quiet residential area close to public transport and nearby Taree shopping centre and is approximately 15 minutes from both Manning Rural Referral Hospital and Mayo Private Hospital.

A bus is provided on a monthly basis for residents to have a day out to a venue or location of their choice. Residents have access to the conference room located on the Taree site and are invited to take part in the many activities held on site including regular meetings to discuss relevant topics with other Residents. Residents are also welcome to attend concerts and other activities that are held at Storm Village Residential Aged Care Home.

Alum View Retirement Village

Anglican Care’s Alum View Retirement Village consists of 6 x 2 bedroom units.

Located in the lovely, peaceful town of Bulahdelah, the units are a short drive to the local shops.

The units are co-located with Cedar Wharf Lodge residential aged care home.
