Telehealth makes Healthcare more accessible to the elderly

Anglican Care has recently commenced embracing new technology in healthcare enabling residents to consult with their health practitioners without the need to leave their aged care home.

Greenmount Gardens resident, John Kensworthy, has Parkinson’s disease and was the first to utilise telehealth, a new initiative between HNE health and Anglican Care which uses secure videoconferencing, similar technology to Skype, allowing John a face to face virtual appointment with his neurologist from the comfort of his lounge.
